To the officers, crew, writers, readers, allies, and friends of our fleet,
For a long time now, this community has existed in a strange place between survival and silence.

Many of us remained.
Some drifted away.
Others carried the fleet quietly even when activity faded and the stars around us grew still.
That happens to all long journeys eventually.
But a thing is not dead simply because it has become quiet.
Over the years, this fleet became more than a place to organize operations within Star Trek Online. It became a gathering place for friendships, stories, creativity, shared struggles, late-night conversations, exploration, and the simple act of continuing to show up beside one another.
The truth is that we outgrew our old identity some time ago.
Not because the past no longer matters.
It does.
But because we have changed.
The stories we built together evolved into something larger. The worlds, characters, histories, and ideas born here became the foundation of the Malstrom Expanse setting. What began as fleet lore slowly became a living frontier universe shaped by many voices over many years.
And so, moving forward, our fleet and community will begin operating under a new unified identity:
ANSOLON COMMAND
This is more than a name change.
It is an acknowledgment of what this place has already become.
Ansolon Command will serve as:
— our Star Trek Online fleet
— our operational gaming community
— our writer’s room
— our storytelling hub
— our lore and continuity center
— our social gathering place
— and our frontier home at the edge of known space
Over the coming weeks and months, the Discord server will be reorganized and streamlined to better support:
— fleet operations
— Task Force Operations
— casual gaming
— writers and story development
— lore discussions
— community events
— voice communications
— screenshots, art, and creativity
— and the simple act of spending time together again
Some things will change.
Channels will be consolidated.
New structures will appear.
Old clutter will be cleared away.
The community will become more focused, more active, and more alive.
But understand this clearly:
This is not an attempt to erase what came before.
It is an attempt to carry it forward.
Too many communities die because they mistake inactivity for failure. They abandon everything they built rather than rebuilding it into something stronger.
We will not do that.
The frontier teaches an important lesson:
Survival is not about remaining unchanged.

It is about continuing.
That is what we intend to do here.
Whether you are:
— an old fleet veteran
— a returning friend
— a writer
— a roleplayer
— a lore enthusiast
— a casual player
— or someone simply looking for people to explore the stars with
There will be a place for you within Ansolon Command.
The hope is not merely to become active again.
The hope is to become a true community again.
One built not only around a game…
but around shared imagination, shared stories, and shared presence.
The frontier remains before us.
And perhaps, together, so does the future.
