BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Origins

Mayqetlh is more than a Klingon warrior.

He is a Klingon shaman --- a follower of the old ways.

He was content to a life with family in the high places of a colony world on Qur'dra IV ... at least until the Borg came.

Although the forces were rallied and able to drive off the Borg before they could get a foothold, it was not in time to prevent colonists from being assimilated --- Mayqetlh among them.

He was among the lucky ones as the Borg cube ship he was on was liberated by Gen. Hauq and the I.K.S. Qu'In 'an bortaS.

Mayqetlh helped pull away the Borg occular implant from his left eye, wanting the device gone and not wanting to wait for proper medical assistance to do so.

For him, it was a step in reclaiming his sense of self and identity.

He likewise took a metallic eye patch and was so desperate to see it applied that it became fused to part of the foundation of the former occular implant, parts of the patch and implant structure melding together in the process.

When asked, Draq'etlh we state with conviction that the patch as it is represents a symbol of his reclamation of his spirit and soul ... ripping both from the hands of the collective and setting both back on a path of spirit, self and the old gods.

Restless after his return to the worlds of the free thinking, he ended up working to restore an old decommissioned D7 cruiser with a desire to explore the stars.

His son, Henej, who was also liberated took a different path than his father, and chose to sever in Starfleet where he now commands the U.S.S. Avalon.

Sometime later, Draq'etlh led a procurement team and salvaged a Dhailkhina-class command strike wing warbird discovered floating in an asteroid field.

Once restoration and refit of the ship was complete, he transferred his flag to that ship ... the I.K.S. Hov'draqon.

The fighter pilots under his command are considering among the best if the Klingon Empire and Khitomer Alliance both.
